ABS is a polymer made up of three monomers and stands for acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene. It scores high on versatility – moisture repellent, stain resistant, and highly resistant to grease and oils. It can be painted, printed and – a particularly attractive feature for a plastic material – it can be galvanized very well. Wherever children or adults interested in building are to be found, ABS is not far away, because LEGO bricks, among other things, are also made of this material. Above all, however, its ability to be surface-finished makes ABS sought-after – for example, for smartphones, razors, but also for housing computers and TV sets.
